Beirut, November 1st2017: Bemo Investments Ltd. (BIF) and Bemo Securitisation SAL (BSEC) are proud to announce the successful closing of the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Al-JizziTransformers & Switchgears Co. LLC (AJTS).
Al Jizzi Transformers and Switchgears LLC (AJTS) is one of the leading manufacturers of electrical power transformers in the Sultanate of Oman. Established in 1997, AJTS manufactures transformers and oilfield transformer installations up to 6 MVA as per international standards. AJTS is registered with all Omani utilities, ministries and governmental bodies. Prior to the acquisition AJTS was fully owned by Al-Nasser Industrial Enterprises, the diversified industrial arm of Al-Nasser Holdings (Abu Dhabi).
The deal was sourced, conducted and arranged by Valquest Partners SALHolding (Valquest), and AJTS shares were acquired by VQ One Power SAOC, a Omani special purpose vehicle created by Valquest for the purpose of the transaction and fully owned by Valquest and their Omani, Bahraini and Canadian co-investors.
BSEC and BIF assisted Valquest in raising the capital required to conclude the acquisition of AJTS through their placement capacity. Valquest Partners will assume the management of AJTS for the interim period post acquisition.
